The most recent 'sci-fi' would have to be Harry Potter. I know that it isn't what you think of right away when you think sci-fi, but it has it's DND type geek lore to it. I don't know if I'm a Trekker or a Trekkie. I am a fan; A fan of all but 'Star Trek Enterprise'. It is my belief that 'prequels' only work when it was part of the original story. Don't try to write one as an after thought. The Star Wars movies with always be a classic and I wouldn't be surprised if, after we built a series of ships, decide to name one 'the Millenium Falcon' or a defense base satired as 'the Death Star'. Finally, I enjoyed reading 'HitchHikers Guide to the Universe'. I must say, I am not fond of the new Marvin. The classic BBC Marvin will always be the real one. Be sure to look up some of his songs!
