In my past life, I worked for close to 11 years as a Clerk for the
City of San Diego's
Library System. If there's a group of people that has
encouraged me to change my life by going back to school, it would be
my co-workers there. Previously, I had never worked for an
organization which treated me with half the respect they did. I
loved my job with the city and can only hope that I find an
employer in the IT industry in kind.
While I worked for the city, I briefly worked for the
County of San Diego's Library
System. Although the benefits were great, working for the County
was a bit more challenging in that the pay was significantly less
and the distance to work was significantly greater.
Never the less, It was my desire to help people which kept me around,
but it was the desire to work with computers and networks which
ultimately had me leave.
